Gingerbread for Santa

We made Gingerbread cookies for Santa this year. Evan made a mix at school that they brought home. I've never been a fan of gingerbread but they actually were pretty good. Maybe it's all the icing and sprinkles we put on them. Ian had to make his as well and ended up eating the only one he decorated. He just couldn't help himself.

Pre-Christmas Activities...

Evan was begging me to open a gift so we let them open Grandma's since they were the only ones under the tree for them both. Evan was very excited about his science experiment kit and Ian loved his puzzle with latches that he could open and shut the door. Aunt Leslie also brought them these awesome reindeer cupcakes. They were so cute but Ian made a quick mess of his! They were yummy!

Evan's School Party

Evan's Winter Party was fun to go to. They played games and I helped at the cookie decorating station. They also made marshmallow igloos and had a snack station.

Playing..

After I had the boys pictures taken we went to the play area to wait until they were ready. The boys had fun and Evan had two friends to play with in a matter of time.

Rudolph Run

It was Robbie's turn to run this time around. We did the Rudolph Run in Allen. Robbie was going to run the 5K and me and the boys were going to walk with some other friends from Primrose. It was BRRRRRR cold and we didn't realize that we didn't need to be there so early but we know next time. So Ian was less then happy with me and cried most of the time. I ended up carrying him for about a mile of the three miles. We'll just do things a little different next time.

Christmas is coming..

The weekend was so nice so I took the time to get out the Christmas decorations and get them up in the front yard. Grandma and Papa came over and played with the boys and watched them ride bikes.

Thanksgiving

This year I ventured out to do the Turkey Trot. Leslie and me were suppose to walk together but she had gotten back trouble and wasn't able to make it. So it gave me a chance to see if I could run and I did run most of it so maybe next year I can make the whole thing. Afterwards we headed to Leslie's for Thanksgiving dinner and to watch the Cowboys game. We missed some of our usual crew but still lots of family/friends and beautiful weather. The boys took turns playing catch with Sophie and we made it to the park the next day.

Champions!!

Evan's baseball team this fall ended with being the Championship! They played so awesome and Evan almost had a home run. Way to go! They were so excited and I think the parents were too. We started out playing all weekend only to have our second to last game on Sunday rained out. We thought they weren't going to finish the tournament but got word Wednesday they were going to finish it so we ended up playing Thursday night two games and won them both to win the Championship.

Day at the park.

It was a beautiful day so we headed to the duck pond to feed the ducks and play on the play ground. We caught the ducks early so they were hungry and closing in on the boys quickly.

Already studing?

I wish. More like what kind of trouble can I get into. They always tell me no, no, don't touch!

Grandma Doll

During heritage week Evan had to interview a family member and conduct an interview that compared and contrast some of the things they did when Grandma was in school and now when Evan is in school. They also had to find out about traditions at Thanksgiving. Then they had to make a doll that reflected their interview. It was fun and Evan had fun decorating Grandma.

PTA Singing

All my pictures turned out dark but all the second grade classes were singing at the PTA meeting. They did a great job and were so fun to watch.

The next outfit....

Momma might ask me to stop and clean a tub or something....

Baseball, fixer man, I think...

Ian always seems to find some way to play baseball. This time it was adding the tool belt. You never know when you'll need to stop and fix something while running to base!
