Post Thanksgiving

My sister had our extended family over Friday after Thanksgiving for dessert and coffee. Everyone brought something to share and it was sooooo good. I'm sure I added another 10 lbs that day. You of course had to try one of everything! It was so good to see all my Aunt, Uncles and cousins that were able to make it. There were lots of babies to watch and the older kids all hung out together and eventually went off to the park (thank you Julie for the chaperon). I'm sure our Grandma was watching over us that day and smiling.

Thanksgiving Day

We all went to my sisters for Thanksgiving. It was another nice day although a little cooler but not bad. The kids walked down to the park to play at one point and otherwise stayed up stairs and played. Our feast was so yummy and another great day of visiting.

Pre-Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving holiday started Tuesday with the arrival of Andy, Andrea, Aaron, Alex and Abby from Colorado. My mom and Neil came from Austin and my dad from Philadelphia, so everyone was here. We had so much fun and it was really a nice week of activities with family and friends. Tuesday and Wednesday is was so nice outside so the kids were outside a lot. They played basketball, dodge ball, launched rockets, and we made it to the duck pond/playground. Wednesday we had everyone to our house for tamales/tortilla soup. My friend Melissa came with her two boys and it was just a lot of fun to watch them all play and have a good time.

Cookie Monster Movie

Ian loves Vanilla Wafers and found the grocery sack that had them in there. He couldn't wait to get them so he started trying to figure it out and finally went for the teeth. When you ask him if he wants some he claps his hands and gets excited. 

Donner and Blitzen

Allen had a big Christmas tree lighting at one of our new shopping areas. We were going to stay for the tree but that was one of the days it was very cold and both boys were already snuffly so we just visited with the reindeer and looked at the decorated tree and took some sled pictures. It was cute because I asked Evan if he thought that was Donner and Blitzen and he said maybe and sure enough we walked around and their harness was hanging up and one said Donner and the other Blitzen...his eyes got very big. Ian loved the reindeer. I think he takes after his momma with animals. He hasn't met one yet he doesn't like.

The last baseball game...

The last game came just at the right time as it was the coldest day we have had so we were all bundled up. We also planned a little get together after the game at the park to celebrate the undefeated season of the New York Yankees. Evan had a great game and caught a fly ball. I had just put the camera up when he did it as it was near the end of the game. Darn it. So the balls and bats are up until the spring season.
