Duck Pond

The boys always love the duck pond so we headed there this morning. It was nice and the ducks were hungry. We saw lots of babies and some turtles. The boys then went to play on the playground and we walked over to the dock after the fishermen had left. Of course anything Evan tries Ian has to try.

Mother's Day Treat

Evan's class had a special Mother's Day treat for us. They made place mats and had us into the classroom for muffins and juice. They took our order and then served us. It was so sweet and fun to spend the morning with Evan.

Frisco Rough Riders

We went to the Frisco Rough Riders game with Evan's baseball team for ASA Night Out. It was lots of fun. Ian did really good in his seat and there was no having to get up and walk around to pass the time. We had hot dogs, cotton candy and ice-cream. The weather was beautiful. After the game the boys all went down and ran the bases.

Easter

We went to Easter for Granny's Annual Easter Egg Hunt. It was lots of fun as always. The kids all colored eggs and then went and hunted them later in the afternoon. Ian got the prize egg of $5.00...Way to go Ian! KyLeigh and Ashley were here from Austin so it was lots of fun for the boys.

Rock Pets

For a class assignment the kids had to come up with a product to sell. They had to make it, price it and sell it at the school market. Evan decided to do Rock Pets. Robbie and him went and collected some rocks and we brought some eyes to hot glue on to them. We brought Chinese take out containers and I punched holds in the side to look like breathe holes. We put some shaved paper inside and the rock pets on top of that. Evan decided to sell them small and large. He ended up selling all of them. The kids that were buying the product were given pretend money that they had earned through the year. The teachers also had play money and they would give Evan to much money or say they needed help counting out the money so the sellers got experience making change. It was a great lesson and so much fun for the kids.

Snow Again?

Snow in July? No it's just me trying to catch up! This was our last big snowfall. Another 7 inches for us! So crazy but so much fun for the boys. This time it was a little cold when they went out in the morning so they requested some hot chocolate when they got in...you think Ian enjoyed his?

Open House

Open House is always so fun to go and see what the kids are working on. They all had somebody to write a report on and then had to illustrate it in some way. Evan did a poster with different happenings in Abe Lincoln's life. He also had to type a report that was a page long. It was lots of good work by all the kids.
